Josh Hamilton sidelined again

Josh Hamilton is quickly getting the reputation of being fragile. After missing significant time last season he has already missed  time because of a bruised shoulder and a his left hand was bruised after being hit by a pitch on Monday( x-rays were negative)

Now it seems that Hamilton has gone to see an endodontist after experiencing facial swelling. The club has stated that Hamilton is being treated for a gum or root issue and will be reevaluated on Wednesday.

In other Rangers injury news second baseman Ian Kinsler continues to rehab a sprained right ankle but is still at least a week away from seeing any game action. Outfielder Endy Chavez  is a bit ahead of schedule from his knee injury but still isn’t likely to be ready for action until May or June.

The Rangers have certainly been bitten by the spring training injury bug. Hopefully for the great state of Texas it wont carry into the regular season or their already slim chances of making the playoffs will be nil.
